Quiet, you do not need to go so anxiously, fortunately not all is lost and the technology of modern smartphones most often manages to put things back into place.
What do I mean? Well, applications that allow you to retrieve erased photos from your mobile device’s memory. How do you say? The question is of your utmost interest and would you like to know what applications do I recommend to do this task? Do not worry, during this tutorial, I will clarify all of your main doubts about it and I will discuss in detail what are the recommended applications for retrieving deleted photos on both Android and iOS.

The main method of restoring deleted photos on iOS is apparently also the most banal and simple one of all. Maybe you do not know, but on the apple apple devices (holding an iOS version 8 or later) deleted photos are not permanently deleted from the iPhone or iPad memory.
In the Photos application there are in fact several albums that enclose photos taken by the device; among them is the recently deleted album that automatically includes all the photos that have been deleted recently by the user. We could then call it a sort of trash can where the images that have been deleted remain in memory for 40 days; After this term has expired, older images are automatically deleted.
As a result, if you have erased a photo on your iOS device and have not been past for more than 40 days, you can try retrieving it through this temporary photo album. To do this, open the Photos app of your iOS device and select the Album tab from the menu at the bottom. Then scroll down the screen to find the recently deleted album.
Then tap on this album to see the photos you are currently in. You will see a counter that indicates the number of days remaining for deleting photos from this specific album. To restore a photo in the recently deleted album, tap on the Select item that you can find in the upper right and then tap on the photo you want to retrieve, then tap Recup (bottom right) to complete the operation of restoration.
The image or images you have selected will be retrieved and will be back in the iOS Photo app source album, as if they were never deleted.

One of the most interesting features of iOS is the ability to use iCloud, a cloud storage service that keeps a copy of all the photos taken from your device online.
As a cloud service like so many others, it’s possible to sync photos and make them accessible from all connected devices. This means that if you mistakenly deleted a photo on your iPhone, you can also recover it from your iPad to which the same Apple ID is attached. The iCloud service is therefore very useful both as a backup tool and as a tool to recover from multiple devices.
iCloud is free, basic, but offers a fairly limited space of just 5 GB. To have more storage space you need to subscribe to a paid storage plan. It should be pointed out, however, that iCloud prices are still very affordable since they only pay 0.99 euros per month for access to a 50 GB cloud storage space. The most expensive plan is 9.99 euros per month and guarantees a storage space of 2TB.
As a result, if you need to retrieve the photos you deleted from your device and want to act from another connected device, you must perform the same recovery procedure from the Recently deleted album (synced to all devices). Alternatively, you can also use your computer by accessing the official iCloud website via any popular web browser.
In the latter case, all you have to do is connect to the iCloud.com website. Once you have logged in with your login information for your Apple account, you must click on the Photos application. As you’ve just explained, you’ll find your fully synchronized online photo album. Then go to the Album section, find the recently deleted album and the photos you want to retrieve.
Then, click the ones you want to restore, and then click the Recover button. In this way, the photos you deleted will be restored and returned to their original folder.

Fortunately, most Android devices also have an automatic photo recovery tool that does not require installing a third-party application. I’m talking about the Google Photos app, the main tool for managing the multimedia gallery on the main devices with the Google operating system.
Google Photos function is quite similar to iCloud: even this Google Tool is configured as a cloud storage service. However, the main difference in Google Photos is its ability to have a free and unlimited storage space for high-resolution uploaded photos. If you want to archive the photos at the original resolution, the free and available space will be 15 GB.
Aside from the main features of Google Photos I’ve just talked about, what may be useful in your case is the Trash folder, which lets you safely retrieve erased photos.
If you recently deleted a photo via the Android Photo app, this will not be permanently deleted but will be stored for 60 days in the Trash folder, a temporary folder that contains all the photos you’ve recently deleted.
As a result, if you use Google Photos to view and manage your media content, tap your application icon to open it. To locate the Trash folder, tap on the button (≡) located at the top left and tap the Trash item on the side menu.
In the trash folder, locate the photo you want to retrieve and tap it on it to place the checkmark. To restore it, tap the icon with the arrow symbol on the upper right. The image will be visible in the original folder.
Keep in mind that this operation can be performed in exactly the same way even from Windows and MacOS computers. The Google Photo archive tool is also accessible from web browsers. Google Photos is also available as an iOS application; you can do the same as I did for you to retrieve the photos you recently deleted.
The Google Photos for Android and iOS app and the recently deleted Android Album are the only 100% currently working methods that even without having a device with root permissions will allow you to safely retrieve a deleted photo For error.
In the following lines I will go to talk about other applications for recovering deleted photos, but please note that for a more effective one, a device with root permissions may be required.

Available only for Android, this is an application dedicated to recovering erased photos that, as you can imagine, gives the best of themselves on devices with root permissions. You can also use it on devices without the root even if the scanned photos you scan will be deeper and will not always be able to find the deleted photos.
To use it, download the app from your PlayStore by clicking on the Install / Accept button, then press Open to start it.
To recover deleted photos using DiskDigger, accept whether you require the app to have access to your device’s media gallery and then press START BASIC PHOTO SCAN. When scanned, you will be presented with the thumbnails that match the photos you can retrieve.
The DiskDigger application scans the device’s cache memory: If you have recently used cleaning tools such as CCleaner or you have formatted your device, it will be especially difficult, if not impossible, to retrieve the photos you’ve deleted.
If you find the deleted photos, to reset them, tap the thumbnail of the photos to place the check mark and select them, then tap the RECOVER button. You will then be asked where you want the media item to be retrieved (cloud storage service, folder on your Android device, or FTP server). Once you tap on the choice you want, the photo will be restored to the folder or service that you have indicated.

Alternatively, here is the suggestion of two other applications that can help you retrieve files directly on your smartphone
Dumpster (Android) – Can not retrieve photos from your Android device again? The free Dumpster application suggests that it is best to prevent cure by providing an additional virtual basket tool. By configuring this application, the photos you delete from your device memory will no longer be lost forever. The application is free but allows you to subscribe to an optional subscription to expand virtual memory.
Undeleter (Android) – Another valid file retrieval application available only on Android. The application requires root but not mandatory permissions from the time it is able to scan the deleted items using the cache
