Filmora
The first of the useful resources to change your face in a video that I want to talk to you about is Wondershare Filmora. It is a very easy to use video editing software that allows you to perform various editing operations, including the one in question. It is available for Windows PC and Mac and is payment (with prices starting from 39.99 euros depending on the type of license chosen) but eventually you can download and use the free trial version (the one I used to write this step).
You ask me how to use it for your purpose? I’ll tell you right away. First of all, connected to the site of the program and presses the button Download free / Free Download which is in the center to start downloading immediately. When the download is complete, if what you are using is a Windows PC, open the .exe file obtained, click on Yes and on the Install button and then click on the Start Now button.
If you are using a Mac, open the downloaded .dmg package and drag the program icon to the Applications folder in the Finder window that has been opened on the screen. Go then in the Applications folder of macOS, right-click on the Filmora icon and choose Open twice in a row in order to start the program but going around the limitations of Apple imposed against unauthorized developers.
Now, regardless of the operating system in use, once the on-screen program window is displayed, click on the Complete mode button and then press on the Impression file Impressions Here that is at the top left in the editor that appeared and select the video file relatively which is your intention to go to act.
Once the selected video file has been uploaded, take the corresponding preview on the timeline at the bottom and then you can finally proceed with the replacement of the faces. So make sure to right click on the movie added to the timeline and then choose, from the menu that opens, the Power Tool option. In the further window that opens, click on the Change face button located at the bottom right and check the box next to the Apply to Face Off to the clip item.
Then select the face you prefer from those available in the list on the right to replace the faces of the video. Then bring the video to the point where the faces are present to view the changes. The changes will be applied automatically to the faces that are detected and the program will automatically follow the movement.
If you then want to use a custom face to replace those in the movie, go to the C: \ ProgramData \ Wondershare Video Editor \ Resources \ Contects \ images folder on Windows (having first taken care to enable the display of hidden files, as I indicated in the my guide on the subject) and drag the reference image into it, making sure that this appears to be in PNG format. You can then select it from the list of faces to be used as a replacement in the program editor, as seen together in the previous lines.
To confirm the application of the changes, click on OK and then export the edited video by clicking on Export, indicating the format you prefer among those on the left, the name and the saving location through the appropriate fields on the right and then pressing on Export button that is at the bottom.
Photofunny
Rather than using computer software like the one I suggested earlier, would you rather resort to using an online service to change your face in a video? It can be done, all right. In this regard, I highly recommend you take a look at Photofunny that makes available to all the ability to achieve cute video montages by inserting their own face (or that of others) on that of funny and hilarious characters who jump, dance and so on. or, again, within animated scenarios of various kinds.
To use them, connected to the main page of Photofunny’s website, click on the Categories item located at the top right and, from the menu that appears, choose Animations, gif creators. In the new page that will be shown to you, select the video montage that you like best among the list (if you need you can filter them by category using the items on the right) then click on the Upload photo button and upload the photo you want to use your computer by clicking on the Open file / Choose file in the box that appears.
Then select the Add filters / remove watermark option? to remove the watermark, click on Next, adjust the size of the chosen photo so that the face of the person portrayed is centered in the photo montage on the right and then press on Finish.
Finally, indicate whether to download the video montage generated on your computer as a GIF image by clicking the Download image button, sharing it after clicking on Share image or making further changes by adding stickers, writing, comments and / or cutting or further rotating the photo choice by pressing on the relevant buttons at the bottom of the screen.
Saga 2012
Another Web service that in my opinion you should consider is Saga 2012. It is an online resource, free and easy to use, which allows you to put your face in a sort of HD trailer of thriller movies taking the role of the protagonist. In short, it does not properly allow you to change your face in a video but can still be comfortable for the purpose in question.
To use it, firstly connect to the home page of the service and click on the Upload Photo button to upload a photo (or that of a friend) front saved on your computer or on the Take WebCam Photo button to take a picture at the moment taking advantage of the PC webcam.
When the upload is complete, marry and resize the rectangle attached to the Web page that is shown in such a way as to center the face in the picture. You can help you move the rectangle with the buttons at the top. Always at the top, you can also find the buttons to increase and decrease the zoom level. On the right, however, you are shown a preview of the frame.
Then press the Create my Movie button on the right and wait for the trailer with your face to be processed. You can follow the progress of the procedure through the appropriate bar.
Then the movie will start playing immediately. If you want, you can view it in full screen by clicking on the button with the four arrows you find in the bottom right part of the player, while using the button with the arrow next to you can download to your computer. The buttons on the left, however, allow you to stop and resume playback and manage the volume.
JibJab
Are you looking for a tool that allows you to change your face in a video by acting as a mobile? So the suggestion I can give you is to try the JibJab app. It is in fact an application usable on both Android and iOS through which you can select various types of scenarios and place within a face as desired (the own or that of others) replacing it to what should have been the characters immortalized .
To use it, proceed to download and start the application on your device and then register by choosing whether to use your Facebook account or your email address and provides the required info.
Then you can start the creation of the video montage by clicking or taking a friend, colleague, etc. a photo. In doing this, try to center your face or in any case that of the reference person inside the shape you see appear on the screen then stop on the button with the camera at the bottom (if you want to use the camera back of the device you must first press on the button with the two arrows). If instead you prefer to take a photo from the gallery of the device, presses the button with the two squares and select it from there.
Then choose the type of silhouette that best suits the face immortalized among those available below and try to center eyes and mouth with the guide lines appeared on the screen. Then press the green check button.
Then scroll through the list of various video montages proposed (or select first the reference category after tapping the button with the three lines horizontally or, again, perform a keyword search by first pressing the magnifying glass top left) and press on what you like best. If required, follow the on-screen procedure to select other participants, to define their roles in the scenario and to set the movement of the mouth.
Then use the buttons for sharing to post your video on social media, to send it via message or e-mail or copy it to the clipboard, by tapping the button […]. Alternatively, press the arrow button to save it in the device gallery as an animated GIF or video. If then before saving the video you want to print it on a text, select the Text tab and fill in the appropriate field as you see fit.
Face Swap Live
Another nice specific resource for mobile devices that you can call to be able to change your face in a video is Face Swap Live. It is an application usable on both Android and iOS that allows you to change the face in video in real time by exchanging it with that of the other person shooting and with that of other characters “ready”. It’s very easy to use and the final results are definitely believable and fun. It’s free but to record videos and take advantage of other extra features you need to pay for the paid version.
To use it, first of all download and launch the application on your device then allow access to camera and microphone (if required) and place the camera in a way to frame both your face and that of the person with whom you want to exchange it after start recording the video using the circular button at the bottom.
If you want you can also use a picture already taken or take one at the moment with the camera of the smartphone to exchange your face with that of the person portrayed. To do that, presses the button with the smiley face and the “+” symbol in the lower right corner, so choose whether to import a photo from the cellphone gallery or take one at the moment and wait a few moments for the effect to be applied to the face. For what concerns the recording of videos, you can proceed as indicated above.
If you want to change your face with one of the characters and effects already included in the app, select the one you prefer from the bottom of the screen and it’s done. I also point out the ability to adjust the video effects as you like by pressing the button with the sliders located in the upper left part of the screen and then intervening on the various options available.
