Samsung smartphones that do not have root permissions enabled to transfer only a part of the applications installed on the device to the microSD card. When you insert the SD card, the phone asks if you want to configure it as a portable memory or internal memory: if you want to transfer the app (and related data) on the microSD, choose the second option.
In the Configure your SD card screen, put the check mark next to the Use as internal memory and press on the Next button. In the new screen that opens, tap the Delete button and Format and wait for the microSD to be formatted (operation that, as you know, will erase all data on the unit).
Once you have finished formatting, put the check mark next to Move now if you intend to move the app (transferable ones) to the SD card immediately, or put the check mark next to Move later and press the Next button to complete the ‘operation.
If you choose the first option, in the new screen displayed touch the Move button and end the operation by tapping on the item Finish. Once the backup is complete, you can now proceed with the root. Obtaining administrator permissions on your smartphone will mean more freedom on how the system works and, as a result, you can force the move to SD of those apps that do not normally allow it.
Before you root the phone, you need to perform some preliminary steps. The first thing you need to do is install Samsung USB drivers for Windows on your computer, so that your Samsung smartphone can communicate with your PC.
Once installed the USB drivers, you can proceed with the installation of Odin: a software specifically for Samsung phones, which allows you to obtain root permissions, install and update the official firmware of Samsung smartphones and install custom Recovery. The Recovery, if you do not know it, is a software that acts externally to the operating system (therefore externally to Android) and allows you to perform various operations. Customized ones allow you to install and restore custom ROMs (modified versions of Android), install official firmware in .zip format and create / restore complete backups of the device.
Completed the installation of the custom Recovery and run a Nandroid (full backup of Android files), you can install the SuperSU app with which you get root permissions. After having done the root, the other essential step to carry out in order to transfer all the applications to the SD card of the smartphone is to partition the unit: in this way two partitions will be created, one formatted with the FAT file system and one with the file system EXT4 (automatically mounted every time Android starts) in which to move the app files.
To partition your microSD, you can use an app on the Play Store, which allows you to create a second partition without the aid of a computer program. The application is called App2SD and requires the root of the phone to work. App2SD is an app that allows, among other things, to easily transfer all applications on the SD card and clean the cache of the app.
To download App2SD, connected to its official page on the Play Store and tap the Install button. When the download is complete, open the application, presses the Grant button to grant the root permissions and, in the new screen displayed, presses the button Partition Utility. If you see the menu in English, tap on the Settings item, select the Language option and, in the screen that opens, put the check mark next to the English voice.
When you have done, tap again on the Partition Utility command, press the OK button and, in the new screen, act directly on the adjustment bar at the top to set the values expressed in MB for the first and second partition. Now select the fat32 entry as a file system next to the first partition and for the second partition, as a file system, the ext4 option.

At this point, tap the Yes button to start the creation of both partitions of the microSD, then press the Yes button in the subsequent warnings and, for the completion of the procedure, wait for the smartphone to restart.

If you find it difficult to partition the SD card from Android, you can turn to computer solutions: one of these is MiniToolPartition Wizard, a free software that allows, precisely, to partition hard drives and external storage units such as microSD.
The first thing you need to do is to download the MiniToolPartition Wizard. Then connect to the official program page and click on the Local Edition button under the Free Edition entry. Once the download is complete, start the executable file pwXXX-free.exe and, in the screen that opens, press the Yes button. Now, click in quick sequence on the items OK, I accept the agreement, Next, Next, Next, Next , Install and Finish to finish the setup.

Once the program has started, select the MiniTool Partition Wizard Free panel and insert the microSD card in the slot of your computer. At this point, the software should automatically recognize the newly inserted SD card. Then move to the main partition of the unit, right-click and, in the drop-down menu that opens and select the Delete item. To confirm the operation, press the Apply button at the top left and select the item Yes in the new window.
Now, right-click on the Unallocated entry next to your microSD and select the Create command to create the first partition, valid as a save memory for photos and documents. If your microSD card has a storage capacity of 4 GB or more, click on the drop-down menu next to File System and select the FAT32 entry. If the memory is 2 GB or less, select the FAT item.

In the Size and Location section, change the Partition Size field to your liking by assigning the memory capacity to the first partition. After completing the procedure, click on the OK button and press the Apply button on the main software screen to apply the changes you have just made.
Follow the same procedure for the creation of the second partition, used to save the applications of your Samsung smartphone. Right click on the Unallocated entry next to the name of your SD card and, in the pop-up menu that opens, presses on the Create voice. In the new window, click the drop-down menu next to File System and select the Ext4 option (or Ext2, depending on your needs).
After that, presses the OK button leaving intact the memory expressed in GB dedicated to the second partition. Finally, apply the changes made by selecting the Apply command for the last time (top left) of the main program screen.

After completing the SD card partitioning, on the App2SD app’s main screen, select the Connect app to SD card command. Put then the check mark next to the entries ext4 and the device supports su.d / Use interface Magisk and presses OK, Yes and still OK. Once the procedure is finished, you are ready to transfer all the apps from the memory of your Samsung smartphone to the microSD.
Then select the application you want to transfer to the microSD and tap the Connect button. Now, put the check mark next to the item Select all and press on the OK item. The apps in the phone’s internal memory are divided by App2SD into the User and System categories. As you can easily guess, the system applications belong to the System category (so I advise you not to touch them to avoid any system malfunctions).
When you select an application, in the screen that opens there is a graph, thanks to which you can understand what is the memory of the app located on the internal memory and on the microSD. The storage icon refers to the internal memory of your smartphone, while the icon of the SD card and paper clip indicate the space occupied by the app on removable memory.

In addition to moving apps on the microSD, you can also disable or uninstall the system app (which, again, I strongly discourage you if you do not know where to put your hands). To do so, on the App2SD app’s main screen, tap on an application of your choice, then press on the three dots icon (top right) and, in the drop-down menu that opens, select the Uninstall item if you want to uninstall the application. Complete the operation by tapping the OK button.
There is also a paid version without advertising of App2SD (its cost is 2.89 euros), with which you can perform the installation of folders and other functions, however, are not essential if you only intend to move the app on the microSD.
