Well, if this is exactly the situation you’re in, you can feel lucky: you’ve come to the right place at the right time!
In the next paragraphs, in fact, I will explain in detail how you can download movies on the well-known social network using some online services and some browser extensions. All the solutions that you will find listed in the next paragraphs are 100% free and, as if this were not enough, they are very simple to use. Can you know what to start?

On the Internet you can use many online services to download videos from Facebook. In the next paragraphs I’ll talk about some of those that I think are among the best ever. They are all free, do not require the download of external plugins and are really simple to use: try them to believe!
Just a note before starting: if you do not know, to copy the URL (ie the address) of a video of Facebook, you must identify the post that contains it, right click on its publication date (under the name or the title of the page that shared it) and select the item Copy address or Copy link from the menu that appears. All clear? Well, let’s go on then.

How to save facebook videos
One of the first solutions that I recommend you try is ClipConverter, an online service that allows you to download videos from the Internet and even choose the format in which you want to save them on your PC. Using this service is really simple: just paste the address related to the Facebook video to download, select the destination format from those available and let ClipConverter do the rest!
To use ClipConverter, linked first to its home page, paste the URL of the video you want to download in the text field located under the heading Media URL, select the conversion format by choosing one of those available (eg MP4, AVI or MOV) and click on the black Continue button. Then wait a few moments for ClipConverter to check the URL you’ve pasted and, on the page that will be shown to you, click the black Start button! to start the actual video download.
Now, wait for the video to be processed (if it is a short video, you will have to wait for a few moments) and then download it by clicking on the black button Download. Within a few seconds, the video will be downloaded to the “Download” folder of your computer in the format you previously selected.
Note: if on the download page of the videos there was the option Download with accelerator and get recommendation offers selected, deselect it to avoid downloading additional promotional software.

Another famous online service that allows you to download videos from Facebook (and not only) is SaveVideo. Also in this case, to make use of the download functions no registration is required, nor the download of additional plugins. Unlike ClipConverter, however, SaveVideo only downloads videos in MP4 format and does not allow you to choose other formats for download.
If you do not have preferences for the video format you want to download and want to use SaveVideo, first connect to its main page and paste the URL of the video you want to download in the text box located under the heading Insert URL-address video page here and crush «Download». Then click on the Download button (as suggested by the same service) and wait for the movie to be processed.
Within a few seconds, you will be provided with the link to download the video: then choose whether to download the video in HD or low resolution, by clicking on one of the two links available. In the page that will open in the browser, click with the right mouse button on the video preview and, in the menu that appears on the screen, click on the item Download video. The video from Facebook will be downloaded to your computer in MP4 format.

How to save facebook videos
SaveFrom.net is another well-known online service that allows you to download free videos on Facebook and, more generally, on the Web. Again we are in front of a totally free service that can be used without installing additional plugins. As in the case of SaveVideo, SaveFrom.net also allows to start the download only in MP4 format.
To use SaveFrom.net, first linked to its main page, paste the URL of the video you want to download from Facebook in the text box located at the top and wait for the link to be recognized by the service. Then select the resolution in which you want to download the video by clicking on the downward pointing arrow and selecting one of the available options: MP4 HD, to download the high resolution video or MP4 SD, to download the video at a lower resolution.
At this point, click on the green Download button and, in the page that opens in the browser, click with the right mouse button on the video preview. In the drop-down menu that appears on the screen, click on the Download video item and wait for the video to be saved in your PC’s download folder. Easier than that ?!

Well, then you can try an alternative “road” and, in some ways, even a little more convenient: the extensions to download videos from Facebook. Using the add-ons listed below, in fact, you can download videos easily and quickly directly from your favorite browser.

How to save facebook videos
One of the most famous extensions to download videos from the Internet is VideoDownloadHelper (if you remember, I’ve already talked about it in various articles, including the one in which I explain how to save the Instagram Stories from others), which is available for Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.
To download Video DownloadHelper on Chrome, connected to the relevant page of the Chrome Web Store and click on the Add button and then on the Add extension entry. If you use Mozilla Firefox, instead, connected to the Mozilla Addons page hosting the extension and click on the Add to Firefox button and then click on Install.
After adding the extension to your browser, locate the video you want to download from Facebook, click on the Play button to play it and Video DownloadHelper will recognize it. At this point, click on the Video DownloadHelper icon at the top right (to be clear, the one with the colored dots) and, in the drop-down menu that will appear on the screen, click on the arrow symbol pointing down to start download.

How to save facebook videos
Downloading Video from Facebook, as easily understood by its name, is an extension that allows you to start downloading movies posted by users on the popular social network. This extension is also free and is available on both Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.
To add the Download Video from Facebook to Chrome extension, first connect to the relevant page of the Chrome Web Store and click on the Add button and then on Add extension, while on Firefox, linked to the Mozilla Addons page hosting the add-on and click on the Add to Firefox button first and then on Install.
At this point, whether you use Chrome or Firefox, locate the video you want to download from Facebook and click the Download button that appears in the lower right corner of its preview. You will be sent back to a page outside of Facebook where you can complete the video download by clicking on the Download button. I also point out the possibility of editing the video using the yellow button Edit video, a feature very useful especially when you want to download a small portion of a rather long movie.
Note: from the tests I did, it seems that this extension allows you to download only the videos that appear in the Facebook feed. In fact, if you try to play a video on a page or on a user’s profile, the “Download” button will not appear in the video thumbnail.
